Newness in Tunes; Frecon's Live Music Direction

Dear Friends, Family and Fans of Frecon’s Hard Bean Café,

There’s lots of exciting change in the air (it’s not just snow!!).
We are very pleased to announce the arrival of Moonlight Forest Productions to our growing Frecon family. Daniel Bower (you might remember him from the Manatawny Creek Ramblers) whom owns and operates Moonlight Forest Productions will be taking over the booking for our live music calendar. He is committed to bringing quality entertainment for our growing audience of live music lovers. As we’ll continue to feature the best on the local original music scene, Daniel will help us bring in some regional and nationally touring acts to enhance your listening pleasure. Featured acts will span the stylistic spectrum from indie, folk and bluegrass to jazz, blues and jam. We know he’s got lots of talented friends so we’re psyched to see and hear what’s in store.

!! Project Sound Stage!!
Plans are in full effect for installation of our full sized sound stage and performance area (which will attract even more quality talent!). When you stop by for your favorite tea, coffee, or latte and see Hank hammering and sawing away - please excuse our appearance.

This weekend’s special unofficial kick off to the new music season features some slide steel guitar by Sterling Koch on Friday followed by the ever energetic bluegrass boys of Fells Swoop on Saturday.

Live music at Frecon’s Hard Bean happens every Friday and Saturday night, 8-11pm
unless otherwise posted. Also, some special ‘chill out’ shows featuring instrumental, family friendly live music will play on Sundays at 1pm. For updates and show calendar visit http://hardbeanboyertown.blogspot.com/

Happy Holidays!

Well its that time of the year again for all the Christmas craziness. It reminds me of that really fast Christmas song that starts....just hear those sleigh bells jinglin ring ting tinglin too...giddy up giddy up lets go....and so forth. Well I dont know about you all, but I wouldn't mind something a little slower paced right now! If thats what you are really in the mood for, then come on out at any of our great music nights and take a well deserved breather....ahhhh-breathe in----breathe out....thats it. ;) OK!

DECEMBER 18th & 19th

Friday night the 18th welcomes back Cliff Stackonis. If you havent heard Cliff before you definitely dont want to miss his unique flavor of Country Blues. Cliff will be playing in the Living Room for a cover charge of $2 per person from 8pm on.

Saturday the 19th Its a FOLK FEST of our own. We are celebrating the wrap up of our musical year in review with a 3 artist fest. This is a show you will not want to miss. Starting with Frankie Alazar at 8pm, followed by Daniel Bower of the Manatawny Creek Ramblers and Ike Wilder of the Kansas City Wilders we will be bringing the house down Americana style! Frankie is a frequent guest of the hard bean and does a nice combination of singer songwriter stylings with guitar and rhythm set. Then local Bluegrass music star Daniel Bower and International Touring star Ike Wilder of the Kansas City Wilders will be teaming up to show you just what American roots music is all about! So come on out and celebrate a wild and crazy year with just a $5 cover charge per person, which includes a fresh brew, tea, or hot chocolate!

Got plans for New Years? If not then come on out and party with the Bean as we welcome in the New Year with our house rock and roll band.......THE DEAD HORSE BAND! These guys are sure to make your new years a blast with some good solid jammin. Come hear all your favorites with unique jam arrangements by the Dead Horse Band. If you like the Allman Brothers, Grateful Dead, Rolling Stones, and any other classic jam, then you will love these guys. Our new years party is just $10 per person. The $10, besides the music and the venue, also includes a fresh brew, tea, or hot chocolate, a beef bbq sandwich, snack foods and more! Call 610 367-1788 and ask for Laurie for more information. The party starts at 8pm and goes til 1:00am!

As always, thanks for listening and we will try and keep the noise to a minimum, giving you just enough info each news letter to keep you informed and educated on all the action Boyertown can handle each week! ;-)
If you have events you would like us to host, ideas for us, or even just want to correct the grammar in the news letter, just call us at 610 367-1788!
Thank you for being a loyal Hard Bean Member!
