How we know the date!

Friends and such-
I think July Fourth is a national holiday because it gets everybody back on track knowing the date halfway through the year. Christmas should not always be on the 25th because you are so close to the end of the year, who cares if none of us know what day of the month it is. Anyways, it is late and the weekend was fabulous and bed is calling me home.
Please read forward concerning a full week of goodness.

Tuesday, July7th, 7-8:30PM
Jillian Prout's Yoga class is in session so come ready to do an intense workout.

Wednesday, July 8th
9:30- 10:45AM
The AM Yoga class with Diana is still happening so keep that in your mind if your body needs some attention.
7-8:15PM
Sam's Vinyasa Yoga class is back after the lack thereof last week- sorry about that mishap and he will be there in real life on Wednesday night.

Thursday, July 9th, 7-9PMish
I am 90% sure that our Open-Mic Poetry event is happening this night and if that falls through we do have music scheduled- folky stuff thanks to some dudes rolling through the neighborhood from up-state NY.

Friday, July 10th, 7-11PM
A full night of music is instore both weekend nights. First off for Friday night from 7-9 is Sharon Abbott who I think is making a first time appearance and in so much I don't have much to say about her or her music.
Following her is a new duo- John and Kass playing till 11 and once again I'm not quite sure what they are going to do for the crowds but I'm sure the music will be great.

Saturday, July 11th
All day is a used book sale happening both on Saturday and Sunday with proceeds being donated to the Boyertown Library and we are looking for more book donations.
7-11PM
While Carriage Rides are scheduled from 7-10PM we have a night full of music started at 7PM with the Box Car Children. Another first time group so give them a chance.
AND>>>
From 9-11 Rocket 88 is in the house doing their thing. I know you can find them at www.myspace.com/r88band. These guys are amazing and I just heard them on their myspace recorded from a 93.7FM show which is pretty cool. They play "fresh rock and roll" and draw a big crowd that loves to clap and dance and drink coffee.

Sunday, July 12th, 2PM
The knitters and crocheter's are out on the porch for their weekly Bitch and Stitch get together which is the preferred name given by them. Join them if you dare.

That is a wrap. Thanks so much for your continued patronage and friendship.
Be Blessed

Mondaisy

Dear Friends-
Finally we are having consistently wonderful weather including the blessing of cooler temps and some pretty amazing thunderstorms reminding of the unstable beauty of summer. Most of us are just thankful for the sun and June's grumblings are almost behind us...soggy socks and memories. In that vein of joy, please keep reading and see what we have going on this week.

Mondays
Night Yoga classes that are usually offered for Monday evenings have been switched, for the summer, to Tuesday nights.

Tuesday, June 30th, 7-8:30PM
Like some of you smart ones guessed, there is Yoga on Tuesday night with Jillian Prout starting at 7PM with 2$ donations welcomed.

Wednesday, July 1st
9:30-10:45 AM
The morning Yoga class is in session with Diana O'Rourke so all you free moms and students should feel invited to participate in the class and start your day off well and bring the middle of your week back to balance.
7-8:15PM
And Sam is back from vaykay (vacation) and is ready to do class with everyone like usual on Wednesday nights with donations welcomed.

Friday, July 3rd, 7-11PM
From 7-9 we have Troy Allen in the house sharing old and new songs from his album- Chewing on Marbles. Troy's tunage can be found at www.myspace.com/roughtoothmusic
We also have a band from 9-11 called the Green Apple Squad and I can't find them on Myspace and I have no idea what this squad can pull off musically so come out and give it a chance.

Saturday, July 4th, Independence Day! OPEN!
Most of you will be spending a super day with family and friends and barbeques and fireworks. Consider fitting us into that day as we will be open the entire day and trying to get some music together for the evening.
In light of music...
Miss Franki Alazar is back to do some music from 7-9PM. She was with us last weekend and must have enjoyed herself so much that she is back this weekend. You can find her at www.myspace.com/frankialazar

Sunday, July 5th, 2-4PM
Okay, so these ladies are always on my case that a bunch of them gather on Sunday afternoons to knit and crochet- and they call it Bitch and Stitch and folks interested in this hobby are welcome to attend. I personally like to cross-stich so I'm not sure if I am officially invited? Hum?

Monday, July 6th, 10:30AM-12:30PM
Monday morning is all about the kids with two great events scheduled. First off, Nadine is with us from 10:30 till 11:30 doing a Story time for kids. Following her, Miss Balloon Heart is in house doing balloon magic with your kids till 12:30. Take advantage of your kids wholesome distractedness and enjoy the other joys of mommyness including mom dates and coffee.

Much love
Mr. Bean

Laa, de da, de da

Friends-
Okay, so we are in a Recession, half of June was cold and wet, the Phillies are not contending Champs and...your Blog has been a no-show for almost 2 months. Mr. Bean cannot help with the first three unfortunate realities but I take full responsibility for the Blog dissappearance. We will have the blog back up to snuff with weekly updates about what's up and going down here at the Bean. Excuse us and thank you for your continued loyalty and support.

And so, it is Tuesday night but better late than never.

Wed, June 24th
9:30-10:45AM
Morning Yoga is still happening. You all know the deal so come out and give it a try in the coolness of the morning.
6-8PM
A round table discussion about Home Buying- relevant to the amazing government tax breaks with new home purchasers is happening at the Bean so if you are interested the experts will be inhouse sharing all the secret ins and outs.

Thursday, June 25th
11-12AM-
Kids love to make noise and I am not working so...
Nadine is doing a Kids Drumming Circle and all of you are invited to bring your children- releasing energy and Moms- you can soak in caffeine and sugar!
7PM-
Music open mic night hosted by our special friend, Mike Holliday, is happening so remember to come a bit early and sign up and it should be a fun night.

Friday, June 26th, 7-11 PM
Music is happening all night on Friday starting with the wonderful Franki Alazar whose tunes can be sought after online at www.myspace.com/frankialazar. She is an acoustic, folk rocker and she would love for you to check her out- her music I mean.
And then, a fun band that is full of physcadelic surprises is wrapping up the night from 9-11. Oh Rabbit is the name and they can be found at www.myspace.com/rabbitohrabbit. They put on a great show last time and deserve your late night attendance.

Saturday, June 27th, 7-11PM
While Carriage Rides are happening from 7:30- 10PM, our friends from the Band, Me Against Myself have made some personal invites and put together a whole night of music with select bands. I will try to get the skinny and get that info about the bands out to you but as for now picture- alternative, rockish type tunage.

Sunday, June 28th, 6PM
Book Club. Not sure too much about this. No book or author that I know of but anyone that does know please comment on the blog and we will pass it on.

That is a wrap. Once again we are sorry for the lack of info sharing but please forgive us and enjoy an iced latte.
thank ya
Mr. Bean

Spring Fevah!

Hey there!
What a beautiful weekend it was! I hope you all enjoyed it :) This week, we've got an array of things going on here at the Bean and would love to inform you of these events so that you can get as much out of them as possible.

Tuesday, May 12th

7-9 PM Antiques Discussion
join us at Hard Bean to discuss a variety of antiques!

Wednesday, May 13th

9:30 - 10:45 AM
Donna O'Rourke will be visiting us at the Bean on Wednesday morning again this week! The classes are $10 weekly, and provide a great workout for both new comers as well as regulars. Stop by and check it out and start off your day the right way - feel energized and empowered!

7:00 - 8:30 PM
The usual, but always new, Vinyasa flow yoga with Sam is happening again this Wednesday night! Great for beginners and advanced, Sam caters to all levels and is willing to provide help to you personally if you have any concerns with your practice. Another great aspect of this class is the music - personally, I find it relaxing but energizing, which may seem counter-intuitive but if you join us in the class this week, you may find some clarity. Mind, Body, and Soul, ya know? Don't forget your $2 donation!

Thursday, May 14th

Poetry Open Mic 7 - 9 PM
Share your thoughts, feelings, and opinions orally at the Hard Bean's Open Mic Night! We encourage poets of all sorts to express themselves. Even if you do not write poetry of your own, you are welcome to read some of your favorites to the audience.

7 PM Scrabble
A Thursday night classic at the Bean, Scrabble can be enjoyed by seasoned players as well as newbies! All are welcome to come join in the F U N (that's 6 points)!

Friday, May 15th

Art Show 6-8
We are fortunate enough to host some extremely talented artists' works at our cafe this Friday night. Works by Reuben Wilson (photographer - www.Flickr.com/The_Reub), Tammy Mytr, as well as Clay on Main will be displayed throughout Hard Bean.

Table Tops 9-11
If you haven't heard them yet, come visit Hard Bean, relax, and enjoy the talent that is the Table Tops. Two young, talented males, Carson Hershberger and Tyler Haddad, provide some acoustic covers with additions of different instruments, as well as original music. Check them out at www.myspace.com/tabletopsmusic . An Italian soda or a smoothie would best compliment these guys - they are so fresh!

Saturday, May 16th

Bake Sale 10AM-2PM
YUM! So many delectible confections to purchase at such low prices! Great desserts complement a great latte or cappuccino (and if you're feeling wild, try adding one of our many flavors!)

Blue Mountain Junction 7-9 PM
This band is so entertaining! Think older men with banjoes having a grand old time playing country/bluegrass music!

Ryan Lewis 9-11 PM
Hailing from York, Pennsylvania, this guy is upbeat and fun with his acoustic guitar and passion for music. Check him out at http://www.myspace.com/rmlew ... very "feel good" music!

We've got some great things happening this week at the Hard Bean! Make sure to stop by for any of the experiences we're offering this week, or just to relax and enjoy your favorite cup of coffee or tea.

Have a wonderful week, all!
Be Fearless.

Much love,
Ms Bean
